Iran's ‘Pet Man’ on list of British Filmfest top 15

Canterbury Animation Filmfest nominates Iran ‘Pet Man’

Iran's ‘Pet Man’ is shortlisted among the top 15 in the 10th edition of the Canterbury International Animation Film Festival in the UK.

Directed by Marzieh Abrar-Paydar, the movie was nominated for the 'best animation' section of the fest.

‘Pet Man’ tells the story of a pet shop owner who falls asleep at his workplace, dreaming he is inside a scary cage with some animals. Trying to break the cage, he faces a barrier every time.

Canterbury International Animation Film Festival is one of the most important cinematic events in southern Britain.

The animation has so far taken part at a number of international events, including the 40th Festival international du Court Metrage in France, the 21st Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival in South Korea and the 2017 edition of the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival in Austria.

‘Pet Man’ was nominated for an award at the 10th edition of the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival 2017.

The 10th edition of Canterbury International Animation Film Festival is slated for 29-30 September, 2017, UK.
